Tokico HP Springs/Struts, and Toyota 4x4 4 Piston Calipers
280ZX 15/16" Master Brake Cylinder helps get a good supply of brake fluid to the larger calipers. This was a direct bolt on.
It's a happy car.
Toyota 7M-GTE Swap Into `72 Datsun 240Z
The `87-`92 Toyota Supra Turbo was a great GT/Sports car of its time, and is still
honored by a large crowd. The engine was very strong, and far over built for the mild
240hp that came stock. The engine in stock form is prone to blown head gaskets, but
simply installing a quality head gasket and head studs solves the issue completely. The MKIII
Supra was a car that combined luxury and performance, but some may argue the luxury
part made this car too heavy.
I've been searching for a more up to date engine to drop into my `72 Datsun 240Z, and being
that my Z car only weighs about 2,200 pounds this engine, even in stock form would make
my car come alive! But why settle for stock!?
The Toyota 7M-GTE is very similar in size and shape as the Nissan L24 that came stock in
240Zs, which made around 150hp. The 7M-GTE will make more power because of the larger
displacement (3.0L vs. 2.4L), Dual Over Head Cam (4 valves per cylinder flows better),
Fuel Injection (Computer meetered amount of fuel and timing), and a Turbo Charger
(forced air induction).
The car has the R154 5 speed tranny that came along with the 7M-GTE Supra, and TRD
performance clutch/presure plate
